“Purpose led, I aspire to help rehumanise work and leadership and create a shift towards healthier natural and social ecosystems. I am passionate about creating a safe and generative space for individuals, teams and organisations to step back, inquire and learn together, and engage in deep, independent thinking that does not often happen in today’s busy world.”
Rebecca has been a business psychologist, leadership coach and organisation development (OD) consultant for over 20 years. She spent the first five years of her career as a psychologist in clinical settings including as a family therapist. Subsequently she has worked as a business psychologist continuing to bring a systemic perspective to her work with individuals, teams and organisations. She has held senior Organisation and Leadership Development roles for several blue chip and global organisations including Kimberly-Clark, Deloitte, BP and Clarks; as well as working independently.
Her approach combines both horizontal and vertical development to enable individuals to have the skills and capacity to more easily navigate and thrive in today’s complex, unpredictable and ambiguous world. She is unapologetically eclectic, bringing many different paradigms, frameworks and tools to her practice. This includes adult vertical development, systemic coaching and supervision, Thinking Environment, Gestalt, neuroscience, NLP and mindfulness.
Rebecca is passionate about creating a safe, reflective and generative space for individuals, teams and organisations to engage in collaborative meaning making and deep, independent thinking that is often rare in today’s busy world.
She is increasingly putting the climate and ecological emergency at the heart of her life and work, engaging with this systemically in her practice. She is also a member of small subcommittee within the Global Supervisors Network, which is engaged in an active inquiry focused on this topic.
Rebecca lives on a smallholding in Devon with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys exploring the beautiful local countryside and coastline through running, walking and cycling. She finds this enables her to connect with nature, be more present, and facilitates her physical and mental fitness.
Harthill has created and sustains a collaborative group of coaches, consultants and facilitators in a Community of Practice,
which supports our own transformation and the transformation in individuals, teams, organisations and society. Each person who completes the LDF Authorisation is included in the Community and enriches our work.
Orchestrated and choreographed by Rebecca Stevens, the Community is beginning to buzz with ideas, connectivity, sharing of experiences, co-inquiring into aspects of our work and the field. Harthill has created and curated a range of developmental Events which serve this purpose and some are also available to those outside the Community of LDF Authorised Practitioners.
Harthill has also launched a series of Collective Inquiry Groups - Community Inquiry, Developmental Inquiry, Practice Inquiry. We have also launched FrameChangers - like a book group for sharing and discussing any books, articles, videos or indeed any material that has shifted our frames of reference, triggered a new line of thinking or developmental idea.
Under the guidance of
Dr Stephen Duns, we have also initiated a
Thought Leadership
space, with a
Wisdom Council
providing guidance and oversight, a planned annual
Conference at which we will share new thinking, and a supportive group that will facilitate the research and studies that can lead to the publication of articles in our field.
Harthill seeks to attract those in the field with whom there is a "resonance", and we are proud to have many Collaborators who are aligning with us, sharing their experiences and contributing directly to our work
