The Harthill Journey

We welcome you to your development journey with us, a journey which we are all on. We value the contribution that we all will make to each others' learning and growth

Our Resources

Woohoos!

We like to celebrate in Harthill so have included some Woohoos!

This includes - people who have completed the Harthill LDF Authorisation programme and our new Developmental Inquiry Coaching programme, new business won with clients, new programmes announced that we have created with Community members ...

Wisdom Council

You may be curious to check in with the latest in our thinking and generative research with others in the field.
We invite you to contribute ideas or suggestions, plus perhaps be involved in a session to explore one of those areas in inquiry, or perhaps to collaborate in creating a short video explaining some new thinking or an integrative approach.

We hope some of you will co-create work and then publish it here. In our Wisdom Council, led by Dr Stephen Duns, you will find fertile and receptive encouragement for you to contribute ideas about where/how/what is needed to expand the field, from commercial as well as academic perspectives.

Please do email Stephen with your ideas here.

Story Chest

Some may wish to read about our client work - the Story Chest will capture what our clients wanted, the issues they were facing, our hypothesis about what would be developmental for them that would move them towards the shift they wanted, the proposal we created and how that story played out. Browsing this may give you ideas for client work that you might want to do with Harthill or using your LDF approach.

Exploring the Field

Some will not have a deep understanding of vertical development, so there are links to references to Community posts, books and articles, video links that will take you on a journey of exploring the field of Adult Vertical Development and the LDF.

Community Posts

We really love the vibrant and rich community of practice that Harthill supports and wishes to nurture.

We would love to have your articles, posts, stories, videos, LinkedIn posts, blogs and photos ... just email us here!

We very much recommend some experimentation, share stories of your own developmental journey, share stories of your client work and how you have been part of triggering shifts with them ... try something new!

Share also your LinkedIn posts about your work, or link to your blog - which increases your traffic and visibility.

Articles

We have shared here a catalogue of great articles, published by a wide variety of those in the field

Articles

Books

We have recommended a small library of works that will deepen your knowledge and expand your development - not limited to just the field of Adult Vertical Development. Add any recommendations you may have and share a short review - we'd love to know what you think!

Books

Video links

For some, reading just isn't as accessible as seeing someone explaining - there is some wonderful video material out there and we have shared here links to youtube and other clips and webinars. Feel free to dive in and swim around the content shared - and send us your recommendations and your own video material!

David Rooke Complexity & Leadership in the 21st century

"In order to deal with complexity, we need to be generating internally layers of meaning, layers of internal complexity that respond to external complexity. The more challenging question of what might constrain me rather than what enables me, is not usually where we want to focus attention - but it is a potent force.

The interesting thing about human beings is that they have this immense capacity for development."
