Playful with not knowing

Playful with not knowing - an inquiry into freedom, stuckness and spontaneity

Hosted by Steve Chapman

“Learning to see the world as strange makes us unhome in the everyday and thereby restores it as a potential place of wonder” Neitchze

This workshop is an invitation into an experimental space of not knowing. To explore what happens if we let go, notice more and use everything. To move towards dissonance, confusion and blankness in a way that, far from being inhibiting, is liberating in a way that allows us to wonder more.

The practice of not knowing is an important one for human beings to nurture - especially human beings who are interested in freedom of spontaneous creative expression and in this workshop artist, writer, speaker, coach and consultant Steve Chapman (aka @stevexoh) will invite participants into a number of simple, playful and hopefully insightful experiments with no other objective than to see what happens.

Steve Chapman is an artist, writer, speaker, coach and consultant who is fascinated by human beings. He has worked with over 80 organisations in virtually every sector helping them through times of transformational culture change and nurturing the creative spirit of those who work within them. He has held roles as visiting faculty on MSc programmes at Ashridge Business School, The Metanoia Institute, Roffey Park and Schumacher College. As an artist he has exhibited alongside the likes of Pablo Picasso and David Shrigley and has sold his work across all seven continents. Steve is at his best when he is on the edge of not quite knowing what he is doing.
