Invitation

If you are an experienced coach and an authorised LDF user, we are delighted to invite you to join us for the Harthill Developmental Inquiry Coaching. This is a short, accelerated programme for experienced coaches wishing to undertake coaching work through Harthill. As a participant, you will have an established coaching practice and will be accustomed to supervision and peer-supervision to support their professional growth.

Outline

Harthill's Developmental Inquiry Coaching is deliberately developmental and transformative. Purposefully and skilfully, it works with the leader's meaning-making - their most powerful resource for re-thinking, re-sensing and reshaping themselves, their relationships and the organisational systems they lead.

Harthill encourages you to pursue the natural integration of the LDF into your coaching practice and the design of coaching interventions. This is is the first deliberate step you can take on the Harthill coaching pathway, developing and deepening your practice of Developmental Inquiry Coaching. As Harthill's coaching proposition emerges in the marketplace, successful completion of this will enable you to be recommended for Harthill coaching assignments and represent the Harthill brand.

The programme will cover -

As a participant, you will deepen your developmental sensitivity and sharpen your skills of developmental inquiry, including

  • listening for the client's underlying meaning making structures and understanding the significance for development
  • seeing developmental opportunities and challenges right in the middle of a coaching conversation
  • asking powerful developmental questions and crafting immediately relevant developmental practices that can shift a client's meaning making in an instant

You will also strengthen your capability to chart a map of a bespoke developmental journey and equip the client with relevant and timely practices that strengthen and expand their meaning making and their capacity to navigate complexity and lead transformational change.

You will explore the Harthill Capacity-Capability-Practice (CCP) Framework as a bridge to, and a toolbox for, enriching your coaching practice by making it deliberately developmental. Throughout the programme, you will be able to monitor your skill development yourself as well as through peer-evaluation, and reflect on the growth of your developmental capacity as a person and a coach. Your full presence is therefore a prerequisite for the co-creation of a spacious, experiential and developmental learning environment that supports us all. It a requirement for you to be available for all co-inquiry sessions as well as practice sessions in between.

Participation will involve -

  • some preparation work
  • 16 hours of virtual modules with Harthill facilitators,
  • 12-16 hours of coaching practice and experimentation with fellow participants in Deliberately Developmental Groups (DDGs)
